GRAMMY HALL OF FAME ADDS 10 RECORDS

Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Guns N' RosesAppetite for Destruction and the landmark Buena Vista Social Club album are heading for the Grammy Hall of Fame.

The Recording Academy selected for induction four albums and six singles that exhibit qualitative or historical significance and are at least 25 years old. The recordings will be honored at the Grammy Museum’s inaugural Grammy Hall of Fame Gala and concert, 5/21 at The Novo in Los Angeles.

“We’re proud to unveil the diverse mix of recordings entering the Grammy Hall of Fame in its 50th year,” said Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. “The music showcased here has played a pivotal role in shaping our cultural landscape, and it’s a true honor to recognize these albums and recordings, along with the profound influence each has had on music and beyond.”

Also being inducted are De La Soul’s 3 Feet High and Rising, Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love,” Charley Pride’s “Kiss an Angel Good Mornin’,” Wanda Jackson’s “Let’s Have a Party,” Kid Ory’s Creole Orchestra’s “Ory’s Creole Trombone,” the Doobie Brothers’ “What a Fool Believes” and William Bell’s “You Don’t Miss Your Water.”
