EVAN GIIA dropped single “WHAT U NEED?” on 6/12, marking her third release with Odesza’s Foreign Family Collective. The alt-pop powerhouse sings about overcoming the all-too real emotions that come with anxiety and doubt in her vibrant track, accompanied by a visual of her sitting on a mountain of paper—one that she says took four days to create. “I had this vision of people writing down their worries, anxieties and doubts onto a piece of paper, crumpling it up and throwing it away into a big pile,” explains GIIA.

With her breakout single “WESTWORLD,” GIIA’s effort as a solo artist was quickly noticed by the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Live Nation’s Ones to Watch list.

The classically trained opera single has also been involved with various collaborations, most recently on MEMBA’s heavy hitting single, “Walls Down.”

GIIA established herself as a dominant live act, energizing crowds at festivals such as Sundara and Coachella. She’ll be joining Odesza for their A Moment Apart: The Finale Show in L.A. on 7/26 and 7/27, as well as opening as support for Big Wild on their fall tour.
