"HOLD UP" SMASHES "SORRY" OUT THE PARK IN BLIGHTY
5/11/16

Beyoncé’s sass-fueled “Hold Up” is the track from Lemonade the British public are going crazy for, despite “Sorry” being the single that Bey’s U.K. label, Sony’s RCA, is pushing to radio. Produced by Diplo, "Hold Up"—an ode to a suspect lover—was written with help from Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, Father John Misty and MNEK.

While “Sorry” is sitting on the Capital FM playlist—the whole album is on the BBC Radio 1 B List—“Hold Up” is 178 places ahead of "Sorry" on this week’s rolling Radiomonitor charts at #66. It currently sits at #4 on the U.K.’s iTunes Singles Chart and #11 on the midweek Official Singles Chart; the same number it occupies on Shazam's Top 100 list over on the east side of the pond.
