FIREBOY DML GOES GOLD
3/23/22

Nigerian star Fireboy DML, middle, celebrates a gold plaque for his single “Peru” with his team, from left, YBNL’s Alexander Okeke and Seun Fasheun, and EMPIRE’s Stephanie Amadu and Jonathan Jules.

Fireboy DML celebrates shifting 400k copies of his BRIT Certified Gold hit “Peru” f/Ed Sheeran in the U.K., where it's currently sitting at #3 on the singles chart. His next release lands Thursday.

“Peru,” released via Island/EMPIRE/YBNL Nation, peaked at #2 in the U.K. in February, hitting that spot for six non-consecutive weeks. Fireboy DML’s upcoming new single, “Playboy,” is the title track of his third studio album, which is set to be released this year.
