BLACK LOOKS GREAT IN GOLD
5/24/17

Last Friday night (5/19), RIAA EVP Communications and Marketing Jonathan Lamy presented Capitol Nashville star Dierks Bentley with a plaque recognizing the gold certification of his latest album, Black. Two songs off the album ("Somewhere on a Beach" and "Different for Girls") have been certified platinum, and one ("Black") is now gold.

According to Bentley's team, the full-length is one of only two country albums released since last May that is certified gold or higher, and includes three or more separately certified songs.

Shortly after the above photo was snapped, the pair celebrated the achievement by shotgunning a couple of equally golden ales. Later, Lamy looked as if he has been certified green.

Bentley is currently out on his What the Hell Tour. See a full list of dates here.
