CODY JOHNSON ON THE BIG SCREEN
7/7/21

COJO Music/Warner Music Nashville and Trafalgar Releasing have partnered to bring rising country star Cody Johnson’s autobiographical documentary film, Dear Rodeo: The Cody Johnson Story, to the big screens.

A Tacklebox Films-production, Dear Rodeo recounts Johnson’s life story from the years he spent on the rodeo circuit to playing some of the biggest musical stages.

Directed by Shaun Silva, the film includes special guests like Reba McEntire, Navy Seal Chris Kyle’s widow Taya Kyle, Houston Ranch’s James Barton, along with Johnson’s wife Brandi, producer Trent Willmon, pastor Randy Weaver and his high school teachers.

“It went from being my life story to being everybody’s life story,” said the “Dear Rodeo” singer.

“We find a little piece of ourselves in the Cody Johnson story,” aded Kymberli Frueh, Trafalgar Releasing SVP of Content Acquisitions. “Sometimes the roads you originally walk down take a different turn. It reminds us all to be agile and have faith in what may come.”

The film will have limited screenings in select movie theatres nationwide beginning on 8/10. Tickets will be available to the public on 7/14 with fan pre-sale starting the day before. For more info, click here.
