THE RYMAN CELEBRATES 130 YEARS
1/19/22

The Ryman Auditorium is kicking off its 130th anniversary with a year-long celebration of its storied history.

To mark the milestone, the Ryman is holding anniversary events and performances like a Ryman Community Day in May, an increase in pre-show and daytime events on PNC Plaza as well as new tour enhancements and residencies.

Artists like Dwight Yoakam (1/19-21), Tedeschi Trucks Band (2/22-23,2/25-26) and Billy Strings (5/6-8) will join previously announced residencies from Trace Adkins, The Beach Boys, Black Pumas, Gladys Knight, Bonnie Raitt, Yola and more.

Additionally, the Ryman is giving away 130 concert tickets throughout the year, which begins this week with Yoakam’s 1/21 show. Monthly giveaways will take place on the Ryman’s social channels while tickets can be purchased here.

Since the first concert on 5/4/1892, the Ryman stage has seen appearances from Harry Houdini, Charlie Chaplin, former president Theodore Roosevelt, Martin Luther King Jr. and music icons like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, B.B. King, Sheryl Crow, Garth Brooks, Lizzo, Harry Styles and more.

Hosting 200+ shows per year and grossing over $10m just in 2021 with 185,821 tickets sold, the Ryman was ranked as the #1 theater for concert ticket sales worldwide in Pollstar’s End of Year Sales Report.
