CHRIS SCHULER HEADS TO CAPITOL NASHVILLE
1/6/23

Capitol Records Nashville has named Chris Schuler VP of Promotion. Effective 1/9, Schuler steps into the role previously held by Bobby Young, who announced his retirement last month.

Shortly after getting his start at BMI Nashville, Schuler joined Mercury Nashville and climbed the ranks to VP of Promotion & Radio Marketing in 2019. He was most recently VP of Promotion at Arista Nashville.

“Finding the perfect person to lead Capitol Nashville’s promo department has always been a challenging and weighty decision,” said UMG Nashville’s EVP of Promotion, Royce Risser. “Chris Schuler is the absolute perfect fit, and I cannot express how happy we are to have him back home at UMG.”

“There is nothing in the business like the Capitol roster,” added Schuler. “I’m beyond excited to rejoin the team to continue its ongoing legacy of excellence.”

Schuler will be responsible for a roster that includes Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Mickey Guyton, Caylee Hammack, Jon Pardi, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Little Big Town.
