"Atlas" gets an award

“ATLAS” GENIUS: Chris Martin is coming to L.A. next week to attend the 17th annual Hollywood Film Awards and accept the Hollywood Song Award for "Atlas" from the soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hollywood Reporter, um, reports. Martin will also perform the song at the event, scheduled for 10/21 at the Beverly Hilton, though it isn’t yet known who will back him—his Coldplay bandmates apparently aren’t coming. While “Atlas” has yet to gain traction in the U.S. following its release last month, it went to #1 on iTunes in 43 countries. Republic will release the soundtrack album on 11/19; the Lionsgate film opens three days later…which happens to be the 50th anniversary of JFK’s assassination, come to think of it. Just sayin’.
