Add Idol premiere

ACCURATE PREDICTION: Some TV executives and analysts speculate that TV's singing-competition genre may be spread too thin, the WSJ’s Sam Schechner writes. But a news conference in L.A. earlier this month, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly rejected the notion that audiences may be tiring of the genre that Idol helped pioneer since its debut in 2002. "Nothing goes on forever, but I think all of our competition shows are going to be around for quite some time," he said. "I expect Idol will be down this season, but mostly due to the fact it's going to be an 11-year-old show." (1/20a)
