Halsey is the first major act to cancel a 2021 tour, in this case a trek that was set to begin in the U.S. in June. It had been rescheduled from 2020.
“As much as we wanted to hold out hope that this tour could eventually happen, our priority is now getting your ticket money back to you immediately,” Halsey wrote on Twitter.
The artist's 29-date tour, booked for June and July, included a stop at the Hollywood Bowl and a two-night stand at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium.
“This tour was supposed to be my most unique yet for a number of reasons," Halsey continued. "I was really looking forward to sharing this chapter of my life with you... But for now, I am dreaming of days where we can all be together again.”
Safety is the priority. I wish things were different. I love you. Dreaming of seeing your faces again. @halseyteamhelp can answer specific questions. pic.twitter.com/SA44izGQ9L
