CAPITOL STUDIOS VET PAULA SALVATORE EXPANDS ROLE AT UMG

Paula Salvatore has been named VP, Client Relations and Studio Marketing, at UMG, a newly created role that will leverage her experience managing Capitol Studios, which she has overseen since 1990, across all of the company's U.S. facilities. The move comes three months after UMG consolidated administration services for its North American studios, including the historic Capitol Studios.

Salvatore will preside over client relations, booking and studio marketing while working with the studio executive team to develop and execute UMG's global studios strategy. She will remain in L.A. and report to Patrick Kraus, SVP, Recording Studios and Archive Management.

Salvatore had been serving as VP, Studio Administration and Sales, in which capacity she was integral to recording sessions for legendary artists including James Taylor, Tony Bennett, Paul McCartney, Natalie Cole and Frank Sinatra. Prior to her tenure with Capitol Studios, she managed Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, Calif.

Kraus said, “There are very few people in our industry with Paula’s breadth of relationships and deep knowledge of managing recording studios. Simply put, Paula is a legend in our field—highly respected and beloved by recording artists, engineers and producers alike.”

Said Salvatore, "The past 30 years at Capitol Studios have been an extraordinary time, both in my life and career, and I’m thrilled that I’ll continue to interact with so many of the friends I've made during that time. I’m thankful to Pat Kraus and Michael Frey for this wonderful opportunity and I’m looking forward to some extraordinary recording sessions in the future.”
