SHERYL CROW, NILE RODGERS TAKE CENTRAL PARK

Grab your lawn chairs, people—the City Parks Foundation's 2022 fundraiser in Central Park will boast performances by Sheryl Crow and Nile Rodgers & Chic.

Slated for 9/29 at 6:30 p.m. ET on the SummerStage, the event will honor CBS News Senior Cultural Correspondent Anthony Mason with the SummerStage Icon Award. The NYC Green Relief & Recovery Fund, meanwhile, will receive the People & Parks Award. Additional guests will be announced in the coming weeks.

The musical performances will follow dinner and the evening’s awards ceremony. It's probably safest to go with the chicken.

Through its Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage Festival, the City Parks Foundation is one of the largest presenters of free arts and cultural programs in New York City parks, serving more than 300k New Yorkers each year through arts, education, sports and community-building initiatives.
