BZRP, SHAKIRA CONNECT FOR SMASH "SESSION" (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Bizarrap & Shakira's "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53" (Dale Play) set records for a Latin song in its first day of activity at YouTube and Spotify. It opened at #1 on Spot global with 14.4m streams, making it the platform's biggest Latin debut ever. The song holds the same distinction at YouTube, with 50m views in its first 24 hours.

Dale Play's Bizarrap has tapped Shakira for "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53," released via The Orchard, and the pair's rhythmic pop cut is off to a huge start, currently residing at #1 on YouTube with nearly 50m views in its first 24 hours. Many are also anticipating a #1 debut on Spotify global with a stream count north of 10m.

It would be Bizarrap's second global #1, following his smash "Quevedo: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52," which held the top of the Spot's chart for 55 days in 2022.

Aside from enjoying the synth runs inspired by '80 pop, fans are intrigued by Shakira's lyrics, which take aim at her ex, Spanish footballer Gerardo Piqué, after their high-profile split. One of the song's standout lines, "Una loba como yo no está pa tipos como tú" ("A she-wolf like me isn't for guys like you"), was promoted in the skies above Miami and Mar de Plata, Argentina.
