U2's 40-track Songs of Surrender (Interscope) will open in the 38-43k range on Friday's (3/24) HITS Top 50, giving the legendary band a Top 10 debut. A vast majority of the total comes from album sales, with roughly 65% physical product in various configurations.
The project serves as the Dublin lot's follow-up to 2017's Songs of Experience, itself the follow-up to 2014's Songs of Innocence.
U2 is readying the MSG Sphere at the Venetian, scheduled to open its doors in September with a string of shows called U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at the Sphere. The special run—not to be confused with a residency—marks the Full Stop-repped band's first live outing in four years.
Meanwhile, we still haven't found what we're looking for even though we've looked between all the couch cushions.
