INDIE RETAIL CHART
GOES GREEN

Green Day’s embrace of its core fan base by way of 250+ pre-release album playbacks at indie retail stores in the U.S. and beyond paid major dividends: Saviors tops HITS’ Indie Retail Top 50 with 10.4k vinyl albums and CDs sold. That number, by the way, is 10 times the tally for the #2 album on the chart.

It’ll be interesting to compare the LP’s performance on our chart with the Luminate number, given that the bulk of these indie retail stores don’t report to the Bible’s data-gathering platform.
