Ariana Grande got a big look Sunday (2/11) when a trailer for her forthcoming film, Wicked, aired during Super Bowl LVIII. Billed as "the untold story" of the witches of Oz depicted in the 1939 picture The Wizard of Oz, the film stars Grammy-, Oscar- and Emmy-winning actress Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the bad witch, and Grande as Glinda, the good witch.
The flick also features Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, Tony nominee Ethan Slater, Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton, Fellow Travelers) and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz.
Directed by Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians, In the Heights), the movie is the first chapter of a two-part "cultural celebration." Wicked will arrive in theaters on 11/27; Wicked Part Two is scheduled for November 2025.
