The Super Bowl crushed the domestic box office this weekend as combined ticket sales hit an estimated $40m, the most meagre Super Bowl weekend take in more than three decades outside the COVID-shutdown year of 2021.

Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle held onto the #1 slot. Lisa Frankenstein took second with $3.8m.
