CO-PRESIDENT PARSA REPORTS FOR CMG DUTY

Newly crowned Capitol Music Group co-President Lillia Parsa has come a long way from her childhood days of screaming along with Britney Spears at KIIS-FM’s Wango Tango concert—a formative experience reflected in her modern-day passion for helping elevate writers, producers and artists.

Previously SVP of A&R at Jody Gerson’s UMPG, L.A. native Parsa will in her new role aid new CMG Chairman/CEO Tom March in mapping the company’s creative direction and growth, including partnerships with artists and entrepreneurs. Under the close mentorship of Gerson, Parsa signed, developed and cultivated relationships with such creators as Renee Rapp, Ice Spice, Julia Michaels, Billy Walsh, Blake Slatkin, Gracie Abrams, Omer Fedi, Nija Charles, Louis Bell, Cirkut and Jimmy Napes.

Her entree into the biz was an internship at Columbia/Sony ATV through Shawn Holiday, who just happened to be the gym buddy of her godfather. “Once I was in the door, I was totally sold,” she told us in a HITS Rainmakers interview last year. That gig led to her first job in publishing, at Prescription Songs with Beka Tischer.

Parsa joined David Gray at UMPG less than a year later and landed her first big signing in the form of Charles after an eight-month courtship on the strength of the latter’s Cardi B/Kehlani-performed co-write “Ring.”

Coincidentally, “ring” is also the sound Parsa’s phone will make as she’s dodging calls from HITS.
