BUNNY HOPS AWAY FROM MINNY

Puerto Rican megastar Bad Bunny’s 3/23 concert at the Target Center in Minneapolis has been canceled, with local press reports citing “poor ticket sales as the culprit, an issue compounded by the steep prices for most seats.”

However, a source said the cancellation had nothing to do with sales, and that the show was actually the highest-grossing in venue history, but would not divulge the reason for the move.

We're told that with three days still to go, more than 11k tickets had been sold for the show, which would have been Bad Bunny’s first in the Twin Cities in six years. So far, most gigs on the Live Nation-promoted 47-date, 31-city North American jaunt have been wrapping well.

The issue in Minneapolis, insiders said, was that not many of the high priced ($600-$800) lower-level seats were sold, which would have been a bad look for Mr. Bunny. Instead, most tickets purchased were in the $122-$300 price range, which are in the upper rings of the arena.

Ticketholders were sent alerts this morning that the gig was called off, and refunds or credits are being automatically sent via Ticketmaster. No plans were announced to reschedule.

Bad Bunny is booked by Jbeau Lewis at UTA and managed by Habibi and Rimas boss Noah Assad.
