CBS STRIKES FIVE-YEAR DEAL FOR GLOBES, AMAs

CBS has struck a five-year deal with PMC's dick clark productions to continue to be the home of the Golden Globes.

The Eye hosted the recent broadcast of the Globes, which returned the show to CBS for the first time since 1982, and scored a major ratings boost, up 50% from 2023. The new pact also includes the American Music Awards, which joins the Grammys on CBS' slate of music awards shows.

NBC was the Globes' longtime host network before canceling the show's 2022 broadcast due to fallout from the 2021 HFPA scandal (when it was revealed that the organization had no Black members). The AMAs, which haven't aired since 2022, were previously hosted by ABC.

dick clark productions owns and produces the Globes and the AMAs.
