KAHAN, SWIFT ARE U.K.'S TOP MIDYEAR SELLERS

Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season” (Republic) is the U.K.’s biggest-selling single at the halfway point of the year, while Taylor Swift’s THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (EMI) is, to the surprise of nobody, the biggest album. Both entries are part of an impressive showing by UMG in the respective Top 10s.

“Stick Season,” which spent a 2024-best seven consecutive weeks at the top of the Official Singles Chart at the beginning of the year, has shifted 1.37m copies thus far in 2024, including 160m audio and video streams. Released in 2022, the song has generated lifetime U.K. stats of 1.9m chart units and 218m streams.

"Season" is one of five releases from UMG in the YTD Top 10, joined by singles from Sabrina Carpenter, Hozier, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Swift. At #4, Carpenter’s long-running chart-topper “Espresso” has tallied 763k in sales YTD, including 85.7m streams.

“Lose Control” (Atlantic) by Teddy Swims, at #2, is the most-downloaded single of 2024 so far with 51.3k. Warner's other Top 10 entry is Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” at #3.

Sony’s three in the singles Top 10 are “TEXAS HOLD 'EM” (Parkwood/Columbia) by Beyoncé at #6; “Prada” (Ministry of Sound) by Cassö, RAYE and D-Block Europe at #7; and “Greedy” (RCA) by Tate McRae at #10.

On the albums YTD Top 10, THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT is one of nine entries from UMG. Having spent seven weeks at #1 on the Official Albums Chart since May, the set has amassed more than 542.2k in chart sales, including 251k physical units.

The remaining releases from UMG come from The Weeknd, Kahan, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Swift (again), Eminem, ABBA and Elton John. Warner’s one entry in the Top 10 is Rhino's Fleetwood Mac compilation 50 Years—Don’t Stop.
