U.K. CHARTS: CHAPPELL ROAN SCORES FIRST #1 ALBUM

Chappell Roan has her first U.K. Official Albums #1 with The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (Island), which reaches the summit in its 17th week on the chart. The set was bolstered this week by its release on vinyl, with more than half of its seven-day total made up of physical sales.

Three songs from Princess are in today’s Official Singles Top 40: “Good Luck, Babe!” at #3, “HOT TO GO!” at #15 and “Red Wine Supernova” at #32.

Elsewhere on the albums roundup, BRAT (Atlantic) by Charli xcx is back to its previous peak of #2. VULTURES 2 (YZY) by Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign is this week’s highest new entry, at #7.

Sam Smith’s In the Lonely Hour (Capitol) re-enters the Top 40, at #3, for the first time in three years after being re-released as a 10th anniversary edition. No Name (Third Man Records) by Jack White lands at #33.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, Charli xcx and Billie Eilish hit the top with a remix of “Guess," the original of which appears on the extended edition of BRAT. It's xcx’s second #1 single and first as a lead artist. It makes her the first British artist to reach #1 on this chart in 2024. “Guess” is Eilish's third chart-topper.

Two other tracks from BRAT are also on the rise: “Apple” is up six to #8 and “360” rises one to #11. “Kehlani” (300) by Jordan Adetunji claims a new peak of #9, buoyed by a remix aptly featuring Kehlani.

Thanks to an appearance in Disney’s Deadpool & Wolverine, “Bye Bye Bye” (Zomba) by *NSYNC rises 18 places to #12. “Move” (Keinemusik) by Adam Port, Stryv and Keinemusik is up two to #16.
