YAKO NAMED V100'S NEW PROGRAM DIRECTOR

iHeartMedia has named LarryYakoCalderon Jr. as program director of Y100, Miami's #1 Hit Music Station at 100.7FM, effective immediately. He succeeds Taylor Jukes, who was promoted to SVP of Programming for iHeart San Diego.

Calderon will be responsible for programming, social and digital strategy and report to PJ Gonzalez, SVP of Programming, and Shari Gonzalez, market president, for iHeartMedia Miami.

“I’ve known Yako for many years and have seen his professional growth first-hand,” Gonzalez said. “His deep knowledge of the vibrant Miami culture, and his passion for the CHR pop format, makes him the ideal candidate for this role.”

Calderon brings more than 25 years of broadcast radio experience to Y100. For the past seven years, he's served as the music director for Tu 94.9, the #1 Spanish CHR station in Miami. Meanwhile, we've never been #1 in anything.
