ROUND HILL'S SWEAT DEAL
10/7/20

Round Hill Music has entered into a global admin agreement with R&B star Keith Sweat. The deal includes future works as well as all songwriting credits across his 45-year career. The catalogue is jointly owned and controlled by Sweat and Open On Sunday.

Harlem native Sweat began his career in 1975 as the lead singer for Jamilah before going solo in 1984. After inking with Vintertainment Records in 1987, Sweat released his debut album, Make It Last Forever, which included “I Want Her,” and sold over 3m copies. To date, he’s released 13 solo albums and two as part of R&B group LSG.

Josh Gruss, Round Hill Music Founder/CEO, said, "Keith Sweat is a bona fide R&B legend and it is an honour to be working with him his amazing back catalogue and on his new music. Working with Keith on this incredible body of work is a responsibility we don’t take lightly.”

Open On Sunday’s CEO Elliot Hayes added “After a thorough review of the various publishing administration options available, we are excited to partner with Round Hill Carlin in implementing a uniquely thoughtful and proactive approach to the Keith Sweat catalogue.”

Sweat continues to host The Sweat Hotel, the #1 nationally syndicated R&B night radio show. More recently, he launched a live, weekly R&B music concert series in May to celebrate Black Music Month that ran through June with guests like 112, NEXT, Brian McKnight, Pretty Ricky, Bobby V, Lloyd and more.
