British breakout star Arlo Parks has joined the Blue Raincoat Artists family thanks to a partnership between her manager, Ali Raymond, and his company Beatnik Creative.
As part of the deal, Beatnik’s roster will operate under the Blue Raincoat management banner. The firm also reps rapper/producer/singer Miso Extra.
Jeremy Lascelles, CEO of Blue Raincoat Music Group, called Raymond “one of the brightest of the new generation of British managers.”
Raymond added, “I’ve been an independent manager for 10 years but meeting Jeremy and Robin [Millar, Chairman Blue Raincoat Group] made the decision to join a bigger family an easy choice. It’s a new chapter for Beatnik and Blue Raincoat. The sky’s the limit.”
Parks hit #3 in the U.K. with her Mercury Prize-winning debut album, Collapsed in Sunbeams (Transgressive), at the beginning of last year. The set earned her three BRIT nominations and a win for Best New Artist. She’s also up for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Music Album at this year’s Grammys.
