Ben and Daniel Parmar, who were appointed co-Presidents of A&R at UMG U.K. label Virgin EMI in 2019, have left the company, according to a report in Record of the Day.
The duo joined the label, now called EMI Records, under the reign of previous President, Ted Cockle, who exited in 2020 to be replaced by Rebecca Allen.
Upon joining, the Parmar brothers’ label, PMR, became a partner of EMI. Acts they’ve had a hand in developing across the course of their careers include Klaxons, La Roux, Disclosure and Jessie Ware.
If true, who will replace them at UMG? Stay tuned.
