Encanto’s “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” (Walt Disney) is the best-selling song of the year in the U.K. so far with 581k sales, while Ed Sheeran’s = (Atlantic) leads the albums tally.

According to Official Chart Company data, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has racked up 84m streams in the U.K. across the first three months of the year. As well as being the most-streamed song of 2022, its video is the most popular year-to-date with more than 28m streams.

The track is one of four from Encanto in the OCC’s YTD Top 40, followed by Jessica Darrow with “Surface Pressure” at #7, “The Family Madrigal” at #15 and “What Else Can I Do” at #26. The soundtrack is 2022’s biggest-selling compilation at the end of Q1 with 153k chart sales so far this year.

Fireboy DML has 2022’s second-biggest song with “Peru” f/Ed Sheeran (Island/YBNL Nation/Empire) on 460k sales, followed by Sheeran’s “Shivers” at #3 with 408k. His “Bad Habits” lands in fourth place with 404k, while Gayle sits at #5 with “abcdefu” (Atlantic) on 398k.

On the Top 10 singles list, Universal and Warner count four entries each (some of which are shared) while Sony has two.

Sheeran’s = has shifted 133k sales so far this year to claim the title of 2022’s best-selling album YTD. Since its release last year, the set has sold 566k combined sales.

Adele’s 30 (Columbia) takes second place on 94k sales in 2022 and 694k in total. The biggest newly released album of 2022 is The Weeknd’s Dawn FM (Republic/XO/Island) with 76k sales at #3.

Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR (Geffen/Polydor) is #4 and Little Mix’s greatest hits collection, Between Us (RCA), closes out the Top 5. UMG counts five albums in the Top 10, followed by Warner with three and Sony with two.
