THE 1975 REP RECORD STORE DAY
2/6/23

The 1975 are this year’s official Record Store Day U.K. ambassadors. The British group will be releasing a limited edition live recording for the day.

Taking place 4/22, their Record Store Day special release will be a live performance with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra on vinyl. Recorded in 2016, the double LP features tracks from across the band’s early career, including "Somebody Else," "Chocolate" and "The Sound."

Speaking about the importance of record stores, The 1975 frontman Matty Healy said: “The guys and I are really proud to be ambassadors for Record Store Day this year. Independent record stores are the lifeblood of the music industry and have played a crucial role in our story so far. It couldn’t be more important to support their vital community and culture.”

The full list of Record Store Day 2023 releases will be revealed soon.
