U.K. CHARTS: TAYLOR STAYS ON TOP

Taylor Swift’s Folklore (EMI) has overtaken Fontaines D.C. to claim a second week at the top of the U.K.’s Official Albums Charts thanks to an early release of the album on CD. Over on singles, Joel Corry and MNEK’s “Head & Heart” (Asylum) scores a third week at #1.

Folklore holds onto the top spot with a lead of 3,500 chart sales ahead of Fontaines D.C.’s A Hero’s Death (Partisan). A Hero’s Death is the week’s best-seller on vinyl, accounting for more than 60% of its sales.

Creeper earn their highest chart position yet with Sex, Death & The Infinite Void (Roadrunner) at #5 and Alanis Morissette’s Such Pretty Forks In The Road (Sony) debuts at #8.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, “Head & Heart” is shaping up to be the song of the summer with 79,000 chart sales this week, including 9.5m streams. The track finished 24,000 sales ahead of its closest competitor, “Savage Love” by Jawsh 685 & Jason Derulo at #2. British producer Nathan Dawe edges closer to the top spot, up one place to #3 with “Lighter” f/KSI (Atlantic).

Four more songs in the Top 10 reach new peaks: Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar” (Columbia) rebounds three places to #4, AJ Tracey & Mabel’s self-released “West Ten” lifts four to #5, Regard & Raye’s “Secrets” (Ministry of Sound) climbs five spots to #6, and Chris Brown & Young Thug’s “Go Crazy” (RCA) jumps four to #10.

Billie Eilish’s “My Future” (Polydor) claims the highest new entry of the week at #7, earning her a seventh U.K. Top 10.
