SPOTIFY TO CRACK DOWN ON FRAUDULENT STREAMS

Multiple reports have surfaced claiming that Spotify plans to penalize labels and distributors if it finds that over 90% of the streaming activity on a song are fraudulent. The penalty? $10 per song.

The platform will implement the policing of fraudulent streams as part of its new royalty model.

If Spotify needs a police chief, we know a certain global head of music who has the perfect mustache for the job—just saying.
