WHAT IT IS: The 23-year-old, Georgia native first amassed a loyal audience posting covers and original songs to his personal social channels, independently growing his fanbase to more than 3m followers. Brown’s self-released EP, Chapter 1, debuted in March at #3 on the Country Albums Chart, #9 on the overall Album Sales Chart, and hit #1 on the iTunes country and iTunes overall charts. His breakout, co-penned single, “Used To Love You Sober,” is now certified gold by the RIAA and his current single, “Thunder in the Rain,” marks Brown’s fifth song to be propelled to #1 on the iTunes country chart.
