FRESH CALAMAR, ANYONE?
10/8/20

Radio luminary Gary Calamar has a lot up his sleeve. In addition to being a gifted music supervisor and beloved figure on the L.A. broadcasting landscape, Gary is (as we've noted previously) also a talented singer/songwriter—and he recently dropped two new singles. Produced by frequent Fiona Apple collaborator John Would, “Severe Tire Damage” and “Forgive Yourself” f/The John Would One Man Band are the latest offerings from the musical multitasker.

Showcasing his penchant for the playful, Calamar pays homage to L.A. drivers with “Severe Tire Damage,” while “Forgive Yourself” is a touching reminder to hold onto hope and practice self-care—something we could all use right about now.

The KCSN (88.5 FM) DJ and Go Music President is also a five-time Grammy-nominated producer. As for music supervision, Calamar has overseen music on shows like True Blood, Dexter, Entourage, Weeds and more. His current projects include Titans, Cobra Kai and Uncle Frank.
